Oh oh, Maestro! What a guy. What to say about this cat? You too had your growth spurt recently and with your age of almost 20 months, you weigh in a healthy near eight kilos! What a lovely guy you are. When my dad walk in, you follow him around like a dog. When he calls you, you come over immediately and when he starts to brush your coat, you sit still just a little longer, even though you hate it when people sit down to pluck at your coat.
And unfortunately, the plucking and combing was sometimes necessary, for your wonderful fluffy coat sometimes could be considered a nightmare. I swear I have never seen a Coon with this much coat. Luckily your owner had some good conversations with cat salon owners and took Coat Care Courses at the RMC for you so your coat proved easier to maintain. The result is, you are more frequently our little ball of fluff, instead of an indomitable ball of tangles!
Maestro loves attention. If the owners want to pet a cat, he's there. If there's the sound of treats rattling in a can, he's there.
Is there a chance someone's going to be petted, or there will be something tasty offered? Maestro's definitely there!
And when someone gets the Flying Frenzy from the toy box, Maestro will be the first to play with it!
At the moment our little fur ball is almost two years old and halfway through his second puberty (at least, we hope!) Sometimes he's in dispute with his younger brother, and sometimes they lie together on the couch. Sometimes he thinks about showing his dad the way he wants things done, and then gets firmly put back in place by Radjah. After that, there's quite a bit of apologies being made to get back into the good graces of his father again. But Maestro is a master of cuddling, so he'll be fine.
Maestro has been to two World Shows of Neocat, and got both his CAC points (champion points) there. Only one left and he can call himself a Dutch Champion!
We'll take him with us for one last show come Januari 2016 in Houten, but if he still doesn't really fancy going to a show and doesn't like traveling that much, he will be kept at home afterwards, champion or not.
There were no definite cattery plans for Maestro yet, but he himself thought differently about that.. While his owner was already searching for a tomcat for Abby, Maestro and his brothers were already on Suprelorin and his owners took his father to the vet, Maestro saw his chance, resulting in 3 beautiful kittens born on September 15th 2015.

Maestro:
everybody's darling, fluff ball, clumsy, carsick, enjoying, loves to play, the epitome of calm, supermodel, feigned innocence, gastronomer, indoor tiger, strong of character.
The most noticeable on Maestro is the fact that he can get along with everyone; humans, cats, dogs, even shy animals feel at ease with him around.
Maestro was actually about to move out of our cattery, but as the date approached, we started to get nervous. You see, for Maestro is something special and he had actually wormed his way into our hearts in no-time. In consultation with his new owners, who actually had 2 kittens they liked and had to choose between them, we agreed that Maestro stayed with us and his brother O'Malley moved to his new family.
